Hi, welcome to my blog!

About Me:

My name is Jodi Greene, and I’m a stay-at-home wife and homeschooling mama with a heart that follows hard after God. I married my high school sweetheart in September 1997 at the age of 18. We have one fun-loving daughter, born in June 2011, and we are raising her to be a Christ-follower, and to become a fierce and feminine warrior for God’s Kingdom. I work from home part-time as a content writer and editor and full-time as a homeschool mom.

We live in God’s greatest state, Colorado, and we love to camp, hike, and go Jeeping – that is, we take our Jeep to the mountains and see how many rocks we can climb over.

I’m a bookworm and a fitness enthusiast, and I’m awed by grace. My passion is Christ and my goal is to be like Him. As a student of Jesus, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned – and what I continue to learn – of Him.

About the Blog:

I began this blog in 2010, as an outlet after having suffered a painful miscarriage that nearly took my life as well. I really had no idea what a blog even was at the time, but after a bit of coaxing from my husband, I did some research and prayerfully started putting my heart on a page.

Philosophies of Strawberry Short Cake is consistently evolving as I grow in the Lord, but my goal with this blog is to glorify God (1 Peter 4:11), to preach the Gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15), to earnestly contend for the faith (Jude 1:3), to testify to the truth (John 18:37), and to make disciples of all the nations (Matthew 28:19).
